Abstract
This method for producing a sinter involves suctioning air above a charging layer, which includes a gaseous fuel supplied from a plurality of gaseous fuel supply devices installed in a machine length direction downstream from an ignition furnace of a sintering machine, via a window box disposed below a pallet so as to introduce the air inside the charging layer, and then burning the gaseous fuel and a carbon material inside the charging layer. The total quantity of gaseous fuel supplied from the gaseous fuel supply devices is fixed, and the quantity of gaseous fuel supplied from each gaseous fuel supply device is increased or decreased according to the quantity of air suctioned inside the charging layer in an area in which each gaseous fuel supply is installed, thereby optimizing the supply rate of gaseous fuel. Thus, the gaseous fuel supply effectiveness is expressed to the fullest, and high-quality sinter having excellent strength and reducibility is produced at a high yield.
